and sasazuka normally explores all of the rooms first thing, and he's doing that now, but his expression is a lot more... agitated, than it normally is after the death announcement.
but when he sees harrow in the hall, he walks straight to her. ]
[Yeah. Her expression probably can't be described as more agitated, it's just pure fury. But she'll approach him as well, just. Radiating bad vibes, but not in his direction.]
Mm... she didn't really want to carry weapons to defend herself. Shi Qingxuan and I made her pepper spray to carry around with her, but she thought even that was too cruel to potential attackers.
... last night, our limbs kept locking on us? Like we suddenly couldn't move them. And this morning the theme song of an old cartoon was playing on a screen. The Pink Panther. But also last night, the fields, the medbay, the planetarium, the library, and the spa video feeds weren't visible to us.
And when I was looking around, the bathroom in the house was locked. It sounded like water was running and there was a sloshing noise coming from insisde.
In the spa, we had a static effect at night. Like. . . waking up and touching someone after you've walked on carpet. In the morning, there was a fish flopping around that wouldn't go back in the pond.
In the pool room, I saw what might have been blood droplets, but might have been pool water.
[. . . Still.]
What is the Pink Panther? Oddly enough, Sheila mentioned it to me the other day. I thought she was just saying nonsense.
Sheila suggested it when I said she ought to have a code phrase to use on me if I'm cursed. Mollymauk used one on me at trial last week, and it was very helpful. So I didn't think much of it - but it may only be a coincidence. If Sheila was involved I'm fairly certain she'd have said something by now.
Hm... well, it could be two different things. Originally, it's about incompetent police. There's a gem heist in it, and the gem is pink. The opening credits of the film is what we saw, I think, which is a cartoon.
And then after, they made a TV series about the character the Pink Panther, even though it's not really related to the films. So, we have to guess what the hint was trying to reference.
Oh, I invite them to try and curse me. Fuck that. If I'm acting cursed, I want you to say 'fourteen.'
[Misa's number.]
Say that to me, and I'll do my best to put it aside and get back on track, and skip the whole commotion. It isn't foolproof, but it's better than arguing with someone about whether or not they're cursed.
If anything, at the very least if any curses happen, we can try to pay more attention to what we were talking about when it occurs. We never really think to do that until after the fact.
But I wonder if Mineo was truly related, and not a nasty prank of some sort. . . ? I suppose we'll solve that mystery tomorrow, as one of the people with What Are Those will be forced to come forward.

Hey.

Hello. Fuck this.

Do you know where Aoi was staying? I assume the medbay.

[. . .]
Maybe she was still injured, then.
no subject
[ since aoi has a habit if just saying she'll do something to please you. ]
So, she could have been seen as an easier target.
[ ... technically she was already an easy target. but injured? his expression just worsens a bit. ]

Her personal qualities are so gentle. Even vultures have standards, from time to time.

[ which
really shows what they're dealing with here. ]

[She doesn't know what to think.]
A monster. It would be too easy to blame the actual monster, I suppose. But among our number, it's hard to understand. . .
[Is there really someone capable of that left among them?]

[ no offense to lenore? offense to mahito because he thinks the guy is weird but still. ]

So a heist, or some kind of animal.

[ since they already know she's a victim. ]

It'll be... tight, with three victims, but we'll see.

So it was either a distraction planned out far in advance, or someone has poor timing for a joke.
