Everything was matching up at the end - it took a while to get anywhere, but it was. Even if there's other parts that still don't make sense.
There's a weird supernatural side to it all - like the fact that we could find evidence, but only in the nine hours, aside from random things that got through yesterday like the sound of the treadmill or the heart-shaped splatters. But once we found the indent in the simulation room, we were able to at least get an idea of who might've punched the wall - and we assumed they were awake for it. So we started narrowing down the suspects based on that indent, and the idea that they could've beaten up Suoh-san that bad. The evidence lined up with Beauregard-san, from the hand match, to the profile saying she can punch, and then finally her staff. I think Molly-san started defending her earlier on because he thought that it was her too, so he freaked out and tried to get us to suspect him instead.
But some things still don't make sense. What happened to Suoh-san's hands is bothering me - what made them raw? How did someone know that Beauregard-san's hands will be messed up - did they do that to her while she was asleep? I don't even know where to start on the shit with the skull or the teeth.
But Beauregard-san wasn't guilty - which the Avatars should've told us if they knew it all along. So how the hell is this justice? It was just a test that we failed.

Typically, murders aren't expected to be solved in just a day. And I think it's safe to say that the majority of the people here haven't had any experience with this kind of thing.
[ like. they seem to be more familiar with committing murders than solving them, going by how talk during trial went. ]
I don't think someone injured her hands as she slept. Wouldn't she just say so herself it that was the case? Instead she just looked suspicious, since it looked like she and Molly were covering for each other with their answers.
I don't know if maybe she had previous bruises on her hands, and the killer knew about them beforehand? If she did, they could have gotten covered up by the new ones.
looks confused then, but he's trying so hard to focus and start thinking again.]
.... so - what? She and Molly-san both thought that it was each other, and they covered for one another? But it still doesn't explain her hands... And you checked everybody else's, right?
Unless someone got a power on Friday that made it so that they could cover up their injuries today?
But... if someone had one that could get rid of their injuries? Or maybe transfer it to another person? If Beauregard's hands were already messed up, would she have noticed if they got slightly more bruised?
would probably be freeze + gun combo in the worst case scenario which mineo thinks is just fucking cheating.]
... I don't plan on dying here.
I plan on minimizing casualties for as long as I'm here whenever I can - [that's what's ingrained in him] - but I won't let something else take me out before we both win.

That was thoroughly exploited here.

It was.
It's why calling any of this shit 'justice' is stupid.
[he's
he's so fucking mad at steven oh my god]
It's pretty much rigging it so we couldn't have a chance at catching whoever it was - and it doesn't even make sense.

Mine can just be used on another person, so I didn't even think about it.

.... not impossible, I guess. I... I can talk to Molly-san about it, maybe.

[ it's a more complicated situation than just that but
at the end of the day, that's still true. it would seem like a bad joke if they died after accepting help. ]

.... yeah.
Then we gotta figure out whoever killed Suoh-san and go from there. There's nothing really stopping them from attacking again.

no subject
Sure.
You already plan on using me as a go-between for some, right? Though uh - there's some I'm way less likely to get along with now.
