That's true, but there's a stark difference depending on whether or not it's actually allowed. A possible competition that encourages death would not be the same experience as one that forbids it, but it occurs anyway.

Whether or not death is allowed matters to a startlingly low number of people, when you look at things very bleakly.

The context is the important part. Justice is subjective -- what counts as justice to one man could be villainy to another, after all.

No two people share the same exact morals, so it's impossible to have just a general definition of the word justice. You'll never have people agree on the finer details of it.

Some might argue it was necessary, as we're all here for a personal goal. And presumably if we're willing to put ourselves in an unknown situation like this, it's something that matters to us deeply.

[ ... ] I'm more interested on how they'd plan to pass whatever counts as justice here. If it comes to that. Do you pay death with more death? Or do you remove them from this game altogether and deny them what they want?

Then, I guess from there it depends on if you can still get what you want even if you die. Depending on what it is that you want.

There's a whole lot of maybes in this. For now, keeping on your toes and paying attention sounds like the more productive thing to do.

... I'll be honest, if someone does decide killing is their preferred form of indulgence, it'll happen sooner than we'd like.

Basically, she thinks she's fictional. Going by what you just said, probably something with mature content like sex.

Similar, yes. The difference is that with visual novels, you get to control how the storyline goes with choices that you make.

She seems to think she's a heroine in one.

That may depend on what your life is like.

In visual novels, the options are limited though. It's impossible for the people who create the game to make an infinite number of scenarios, so you usually only get a few options to choose from.
