Well, a few other people suspected them for that same reason, at least. It's hard to ignore that if they didn't eat evidence, we most likely wouldn't have spiraled as much as we did.

Well... if we have to focus on motive, then we should probably approach the people who spoke to the two of them the most, right? Whoever might have the clearest idea of who Douman and Omi are as people, or what their relationship was to each other.
I didn't really talk to either of them, so I can't even begin to guess why someone would target them except for very surface level reasons.
The motive to kill Douman is fairly evident. As you say - I'm not the only person who suspected them.
Omi is difficult. He was just. . . kind, to a fault. [She kind of says this like she means it as a criticism.] But didn't the group from yesterday have some quarrel with him?
I doubt it was enough to kill him. It sounds like it had to do with the illusions they saw? So their reaction might had just been that they were still riding on adrenaline from what happened to them.
I have a pet theory. I wonder if you'll agree. Molly felt that their compulsion to kill was born out of a sense that they wanted to "get what they wanted," and everyone else was out to get them or to get in their way.
In other words, a base and murderous form of Greed, I think. Just as we were compelled by the basest form of Gluttony. But whereas all four of us refused the compulsion, in the other group only Molly did. And it seems that, though they threatened him with death, unlike with our group they didn't follow through.
Mm... I wonder if the other three got something that Mollymauk didn't? He might have gotten punished like we were, but Grace didn't want to talk about it so I didn't push her.
I'm not sure he was punished, other than how he already had been, once he was impaled through with a club.
In fact, I'm wondering if we misunderstood in assuming we'd failed a test at all. Perhaps the meaning was never that there was a correct answer, only to inform us of a type of decision that must be made - behave brutally through overindulgence, or else forfeit our lives.
Maybe... although it's still true that we lost a memory from it, even if you were unsure.
I guess the problem then is if this group lost something after, or have some sort of effect, there's a chance they might not notice until afterwards. The only reason I was able to is because the memory I lost had to do with my wish.
True, but - what I mean to say is, how do we know we wouldn't have also been punished in some other way if we had done that awful thing? Besides the punishment of having done it.
We ought to check in with them a week after, and see if there was anything.
