Oh, I agree. So I think my priority would be to at least get enough space away from the killer that whoever it is, they wouldn't notice me leaving the message. They can't erase something they're not aware exists. It's why the phone would be the easiest option. I think I'd be faster at typing than most people here.

Here is what I would propose. Simple, but indecipherable to anyone you didn't tell. Choose one of the categories of little pictures - animals, or food items, or what have you - and simply assign them alphabetically or at random, and then share the list with one or two persons to memorize. No one else will think to consider that a dog was Aoi or a banana Ashiya Douman.

Mollymauk and I left tattoo ink under the handles in the med bay last night before curfew.

The med bay smelled of alcohol last night, and in the morning the pods were cracked. I suspect they were used, but even if someone got ink on their hands, if they scrubbed well enough or used rubbing alcohol, it might be gone. Still, it's more likely we'll spot something today than tomorrow, I should think.
If we were truly lucky, they may have been jabbed with the needle. It would leave a mark much more difficult to remove.

It was frankly an idiotic thing to do for a number of reasons, and I suspect arose out of a compulsion brought on by this week's effects. I just thought I ought to let you know, in case they mentioned it to anyone else. Douman denied everything, of course. And I'm not even certain whether they were lying, though I can't shake the suspicion that the Toblerone nonsense was an intentional diversion.
