I don't think we can even say it was someone who knew Beauregard and how she worked. Half the stuff that was used to frame her was on her profile, or ... if you'd just seen her walking around with her staff.

She said that it went missing earlier-- well, she said that she misplaced it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had flat out gotten stolen and she just assumed she lost it.

It's no wonder we couldn't find any other suspects, they did such a thorough job of pinning it on her.

Basically. And before we make too many emotional ties to the victim... I think the motivation of a group of friends versus people who barely know each other would probably be different.

But at the same time, crimes aren't normally given a time limit of nine hours. So even with the loss, from an investigative standpoint, we did do a good job of following the clues. The problem is that we didn't have the time to realize what was beyond the obvious.

Take better notes of where people had visions or strange occurrances overnight, make sure to check them out sooner rather than later? Maybe make certain we're not just hiding out in our rooms so that we have as much information as possible?

The wounds didn't appear on the body until they investigated an area, right?

I wonder if it's just any area, or if they have to get a specific one correct? If it's the latter, that may be a problem if we don't go to the right one first.

... Maybe wounds show up once you investigate the room they happened in. Which is a weird condition, but something we might have to work with if this happens again.

We just have to make sure we get the right room as soon as possible... somehow.

If there are no wounds on the body, then it makes sense to go out and investigate straight away. The sooner we find the right room, the sooner we can look at the body.

I know. I just mean, it'll be a hassle if it takes us a while to find the right place.

Again, the... things people see and hear the day before and immediately after we find out about the death might come in helpful in narrowing that down.

No, I was commenting more how there's only so much we can do without certain information. And even if we have hints, we can't search multiple places at once. If we don't hit the right area immediately, it'll set us back.

It really is just us tossing something into the wind and hoping it flies, huh. We'll just have to play it by ear, if it happens again.
