That's true, but there's a stark difference depending on whether or not it's actually allowed. A possible competition that encourages death would not be the same experience as one that forbids it, but it occurs anyway.

Whether or not death is allowed matters to a startlingly low number of people, when you look at things very bleakly.

No two people share the same exact morals, so it's impossible to have just a general definition of the word justice. You'll never have people agree on the finer details of it.

Some might argue it was necessary, as we're all here for a personal goal. And presumably if we're willing to put ourselves in an unknown situation like this, it's something that matters to us deeply.

There's a whole lot of maybes in this. For now, keeping on your toes and paying attention sounds like the more productive thing to do.
