I've been putting a lot of thought into current circumstances. I am tired of being merely reactive, and remaining two steps behind. I would like to put more thought in how to proactively deter killers, or make them easier to catch.

Agreed. It just feels like we're falling into a pattern, so we need to actively find ways to break out of that.
