. . . I can't say I'm surprised about Sutcliffe. She was openly making threats. Kaz Kaan feels more opportunistic, the way Tamaki Suoh did.

Yes, I think so, too. To kill in desperation, versus to hear that it may be necessary to kill, and to so immediately choose a stranger who is unassuming and harmless.

I couldn't be sure either way, where it comes to Tamaki and Kaz Kaan. Grell - you would have had to approach her more cautiously, knowing she had a weapon. I doubt it was the same person.

These crimes of opportunity, in the dead of the night, like a cowardly scavenger picking off the weak one by one - that is revolting to me. Everyone must be made to understand there are consequences.

But if someone saw Grell Sutcliffe as a threat and decided to act preemptively, I can't fault the decision.

I spoke to Greed this week. They basically challenged me to help solve what happened if someone dies again. If I don't make any real attempt, they're going to shut me out from getting any potential information from them. They didn't say I had to actually solve it, but I can't do nothing.

[ which is his way of saying that when he tries to figure out what happened to grell, don't think it's because he actually feels bad for her. ]

I think that it's easy for others to forget that the Avatars are a valuable resource here too, and that failing to meet certain expectations will hurt you even if you are doing other things.
