I'm not sure. It's just a thought. There are a lot of people here, some of whom may be dangerous.
We ought to identify the person responsible quickly. If someone thinks they can prowl around taking out targets without repercussions, things will become dire quickly.
If everyone believes they can get away with it, it will be more tempting to try.
[At some point, she'll find Sasazuka after the party somewhere where there's a little privacy.]
. . . At trial, you mentioned the lottery.

I wasn't sure if you knew, when we spoke on Friday. [Hence her cryptic comment about asking the Avatars about the dying rules.] And I didn't know whether I trusted you with that information, either, if you hadn't found out for yourself.
[Just saying that very rudely.]
I know nothing about you, other than that your profile says you're skilled in investigating. But given that it's now understood there is incentive to kill for prizes, I want to know where you fall on that.

You could be. I could also be lying, when I say I have no interest in killing, either.
But without trusting you blindly, it will be easier to talk if we're operating from the same assumptions.

[So we're doing it that way, huh? Sharing something a little personal to sweeten the deal. She nods.]
So much of what I've accomplished has come at the cost of the lives of others. I've found that price is something I cannot stand to bear. I would not add any additional ghosts to that calculus.
Defending myself against threats is another matter entirely, but it sounds as though we're on the same page.

The most dangerous person right now is the person who killed Tamaki. They succeeded at eliminating two - why not try another?
Moreover, I don't like how it was done. I'd like to find that person.

. . . Beauregard and Mollymauk attended a party on Thursday. It was in the room Beauregard shared with Gojou, and Fukuda, Douman, and Omi were there as well. They imbibed on a substance that rendered Mollymauk and Beauregard quite incapacitated, as I noted when we spent curfew together.
[It was weed, Harrow. It was weed.]
At some point during the party, Beauregard's quarterstaff was taken. And so, I wonder if the party was intended to allow for such an opportunity, or if the opportunity was noted at the party and seized upon.

It's possible. No one I've spoken to about the party remembered anyone else, but I wouldn't rule it out; nor would I rule out that Beau misplaced her staff in her own room, and it was stolen during the night.
The fist imprint did not match anyone from the party besides Beauregard and Mollymauk - and I simply cannot believe that Mollymauk would have framed her.

That tracks. They were very irritating in the Planetarium.
[RIP Beau, but still.]
Then there's the matter of the skull. Douman does have a skeleton familiar, but I've already inspected it, and it doesn't look like the one we found.

No, not particularly.
[She's not the most mobile, but she's trying. But she'll stop for him.]
You?

You?
